Programme Update: PATA Malaysia Chapter (PMC) Crisis Communication Management Workshop

RE : PATA MALAYSIA CHAPTER (PMC) CRISIS COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

Greetings from PATA Malaysia Chapter (PMC) Executive Committee !

Effective communications during crisis management can make the difference between quickly resolving the situation or it becoming a nightmare.

In this regard and as part of the programmes lined up for 2016, PMC in collaboration with Malaysia Tourism Council (MTC) has scheduled a one-day Crisis Communication Management Workshop as follows :

 

Date   : 17 March 2016/Thursday

Time   : 9.00 am – 5.00pm

Venue : Ballroom, Seri Pacific Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

Theme : Protecting the assets and the reputation of tourism industry

 

This one-day Workshop is targeted at Owners and Senior Executives of all stakeholders of the tourism industry which include hospitality, tour operators, tourism authorities, trade associations and other tourism service providers.

The Workshop will basically focus on the area of communication which is the crux of the shortcomings in most crisis situations. It will cover the many principles of good communications, and participants will learn about the various paradigms which can help them to take charge of the next crisis and also on how to develop specific plans for foreseeable types of crises and generic plans for broad categories of unpredictable crises.

In order for the Workshop to be more effective and beneficial in achieving the desired results, we would like to invite participation from the following category of personnel from the tourism stakeholders, for the subject Workshop :

Company Directors/Chief Executive Officers/Chief Operation Officers//Chief Financial Officers/ Chief Marketing Officers/Senior Executives from Safety, Security and Marketing Communications.

The normal registration fee for the Workshop is RM 300.00 per person. However, PMC is offering a subsidized preferential registration fee of RM 50.00 per person for PMC members only.

As this is another initiative by PMC to provide value and benefit to the stakeholders from the tourism and hospitality industry, we look forward to your support and participation to make it a successful and fruitful programme.
