PATA Hub City Forum: Kuala Lumpur – ASEAN Economic Community 2015 (AEC 2015) Where is Tourism Heading?

This has reference to our email dated 30 July 2014 on the advance notification relating to the above event.

As you are aware by now, the ASEAN Economic Community 2015 (AEC 2015) will be effective from 01 January 2015 and its goal is to transform the region into a single market and production base.

We are pleased to confirm that the PATA Malaysia Chapter (PMC) in collaboration with PATA Headquarters and supported by Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Malaysia (MOTAC) and Tourism Malaysia, will be holding a PATA Hub City Forum (HCF) : Kuala Lumpur with the theme ‘ASEAN Economic Community 2015 (AEC 2015) – Where is Tourism Heading?’.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday/15 October 2014 at The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur and will be officially launched by the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Malaysia.

As an organization connected with the tourism and hospitality industry, you are cordially invited to attend the Forum.

As mentioned earlier in our advance notification, the HCF is aimed at providing a platform to create awareness of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) to the relevant stakeholders of the tourism and hospitality sectors and enlighten on the potential opportunities and challenges to their business and the tourism and hospitality industry in general.

The ultimate objective of the HCF will be to facilitate the relevant stakeholders in staying abreast of and be fully prepared to embrace the possibilities/eventualities that the AEC will bring about and leverage on the opportunities available.

Experts and prominent speakers from both international and local level including representative/s from the European Union (EU) will be invited to share their insights, ideas and experience on the subject matter.
The registration fee for participation in the Forum, which includes forum attendance, coffee break, buffet lunch and high-tea shall be as follows:

Malaysian Delegates:
PATA Malaysia Chapter Member – MYR 300 nett/person
Non-Member – MYR 400 nett/person

International Delegates:
PATA Member/PATA Chapter Member – USD 150 nett/person
Non- Member – USD 200 nett/person

Kindly take note that the acceptance of registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Therefore, to avoid disappointment, please register early by completing the attached Delegate Registration Form and sending it to the PMC Secretariat office, along with your full payment (please refer to Registration Form on payment information), latest by 30 September 2014.

We have also attached a copy of the tentative Programme for your advance information.

For those delegates from outstation/overseas, we have secured preferential rates for your hotel accommodation at a few hotels within Kuala Lumpur. Kindly visit our PMC website for the hotels and their preferential rates and make your bookings directly with your preferred hotel.
